Naked and Unashamed Marriage Workshop

In the first recorded marriage, Adam and Eve “were both naked, and they felt no shame.” (Genesis 2:25)

Being naked and feeling unashamed were not limited to physical nakedness but rather embodied the depths of emotional intimacy.  In their “nakedness,” they experienced complete freedom from fear and insecurity.  Moreover, they felt total acceptance, safety, and a sacred trust – qualities many couples desire but few enjoy as the culture within their relationship.

Speakers (Alice Kim, LCSW and Reverend Sam Kim) share from biblical reflections, clinical and pastoral experience (from working with couples) and personal lessons from their own marriage.  This workshop is grounded in the biblical foundation for marriage as the framework for growing intimacy.  Furthermore, Alice and Sam apply practical principles and implications to your current relationship.

Here is what participants have said about the Naked and Unashamed Marriage Workshop.

“Refreshing.”

“Practical.”

“You had my attention the entire time.”

“This relationship conference is by far one of the most dynamic and educational experience I have seen at any of the churches and Christian groups.  Both Sam and Alice have in depth understanding of the Bible and was able to apply the principles to our everyday life.”

“We loved and needed a perspective from both parties/genders. …your vulnerability, scriptural explanations, stories, and humorous moments were a gift to me.”

“Thanks Sam and Alice!  What a blessing!  God really moves through you both as a dynamic duo. … There were some messages that were incredibly timely and challenging and I think that God will only use this as a catalyst for continual growth.”

“This workshop has exceeded my expectations in every way. You are both so genuine and bold. Your stories mean so much and resonate deeply. The spiritual content is woven throughout and not just “Jesusfide.” Because of your vulnerability, I am challenged, even convicted to be more genuine in my marriage.”

“Sex story is a winner…”

“The open discussions around shame and sexual intimacy were new and very refreshing.”

“The anatomy of shame was helpful, as often times you may not even realize or be able to recognize when you feel shame. Provides a good reference to identify shame.”

“Allowed us to be honest with one another and talk about things we always were ashamed to talk about.”

“Would recommend based on the biblical content, … atmosphere of honesty, humility and vulnerability.”

“Learned a lot about the Bible (I’m not a Christian yet), my family, culture and how that affect me….”

“It really hit home for me when “shame” and “forgiveness” was mentioned.”

“The most memorable lesson I learned was how to create intimacy with openness.”

“I would recommend [the workshop] because it really brings real life situations to life.  Very relevant to struggles we are all facing.”
